Everyone has heard Cymande — but almost no one knows their name. The British soul/funk legends were sampled endlessly by hip-hop and dance icons, and were true pioneers in blending African rhythms with rock, reggae, and soul.

On the very same day that Cymande take the stage at PAARD, we’re getting you in the mood with Getting It Back: The Story of Cymande (2022) — a vibrant documentary about the band that shaped the soundtrack of generations, all while remaining largely out of the spotlight themselves. Together with PAARD and Black Soil, we’re bringing their story to the big screen — so you can groove twice as hard when the concert kicks off later that evening.
