As creative director of Ado Ato Pictures, she scales groundbreaking technology and narrative techniques to bring stories of subaltern electricity to life. Shogaolu’s work is deeply inspired by the experiences of marginalized groups, with the aim of amplifying and providing a platform for their voices. Her films often highlight themes of migration to Europe, with a particular focus on the stories of queer refugees. Some of these individuals, now living in Amsterdam, have maintained a close relationship with Shogaolu for almost a decade, illustrating the lasting impact of her involvement in their stories. Through her unique vision, she continues to challenge and innovate the boundaries of traditional storytelling.
